DRE celebrates 2012 at Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner

DRE recently held its Annual Company Meeting and Awards Dinner at Horseshoe Casino in Southern Indiana. Vendors from across the world met DRE employees to enhance product knowledge. All of the DRE divisions participated–ORSupply, Hospital, Medical Specialty, International, Veterinary and Integrated Rental Services.

“Our annual sales meeting was a great indicator that the sky is the limit for DRE,” Chris Padgett, Sales Director, said. “Since 2009, DRE has added 43 employees in a variety of functions. Our sales staff has grown significantly and their talent, experience and understanding of what our customers need is a driving factor of the company’s consistent growth. Our reps are knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.”

The meeting was a great forum to talk about the exciting products DRE will be launching or expanding on in 2013. One vendor who traveled to the Annual Meeting was Italian manufacturer Euroclinic. The DRE and Euroclinic partnership kicked off in 2012 to bring high quality materials and attractive, ergonomically designed workstations to ENT clinics. DRE also carries Euroclinic’s line of high-end podiatry chairs.

“We will be rolling out new versions of our current lines, along with some great products that are new to the marketplace,” Padgett said. “Many of our customers will see significant benefits from the updates coming this year.”

Padgett handed out awards for DRE salespeople who exhibited superior customer service in the past year. Tyler Kempf from the Veterinary division was named #1 salesperson for 2012.

The Veterinary Division was especially successful this year. Vet Director Nathan Claypool believes the growth stems from exceptional product knowledge and employee experience.

“The Vet division provides excellent customer service because we truly are equipment consultants,” Claypool said. “All of our consultants have been here several years, so we know the equipment being used in the OR and train constantly to gain product knowledge.”

The Vet division plans to add another salesperson this year to accommodate the growth it has experienced.
